Library Rules

The library is open to all bonafide students, faculty, staff and alumni of the school.


Upon entrance:
  • All library users must register on the logbook upon entering the library.
  • Wearing of shoe cover is a must to all students in order to maintain cleanliness in the library.
  • Place bags & other things in the designated area. Only pens and notebooks are allowed inside the library.

Library hours:
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM


    Borrowers Card
    • All library users are required to secure a borrower’s ID for them to be able to take out books for overnight use.
    • Borrower’s card is valid for the current year only.
    • The use of other students borrower’s card subject the owner and the borrower to suspension of library privileges.
    Rules in borrowing books:
    • Present school ID when borrowing books for photo copy.
    • Non–fiction books can be borrowed overnight, while fiction books can be borrowed for one week.
    • Penalty is imposed for all overdue books at the rate of one peso per day.
    • Lost books shall be replaced with the same book or of the same kind.
    • All borrowed books must be surrendered on or before the 4th grading examination.
    Acceptable Use Policy

    1. Culiat High Schhool recognizes the school need for some, if not all of its students, faculty & staff to have access to the internet while in the school, using school computers. As such, CHS has made the school decision to make the Internet avail-able to students, faculty & staff for CHS school purposes.


    2. CHS intends for the Internet to be accessed for school purposes and expects that students, faculty & staff will spend no more than 5 minutes per day accessing the Internet for non-school purposes.


    3. CHS specifically prohibits its students, faculty & staff from accessing the following types of sites using school computers:

    • Gambling sites
    • Auction sites
    • Hate sites
    • Pornographic sites
    • Any site engaging in or encouraging illegal activity
    • Gaming site
    • Social networking site
    • Peer to peer site
    • Proxy site
    4. The school reserves the right to use monitoring software to make sure the schools' IAUP is being adhered to by its students, faculty, staff and other users. The school may record and/or monitor one or more students, faculty & staff computer and Internet activity for any reason and without any specific notice.


    5. By reading and using the e-library:

    • You agree that you have had the opportunity to review this agreement and ask any questions regarding this document.
    • You agree to adhere to the school's IAUP.
    • You agree that you will be subject to disciplinary measures, including possible suspension/  expulsion if you violate the IAUP.
    6.Computers are strictly for research only.


    7. the use of computers is 30 minutes only if there are many users with a maximum of one hour if there are few users.


    Other rules and regulations in the library:
    • Observed SILENCE all the time.
    • No food of any kind is allowed inside the library.
    • Always observe cleanliness inside the library. Pick up your litters.
    • Push back chairs before leaving the library.
    • Library materials should be checked out properly and handled with care.
    • Library materials should be returned in their proper places and book shelves should be kept in order.
    • Observe courtesy and consideration to other library users.
